This week I count down my own Top-5 reasons to be excited for spring.
5. Outdoor cooking: I just love it! I live on a beef farm and there is nothing better really, than throwing a nice homegrown steak or hamburger or the barbeque.
4. The Playoffs: NHL playoff time is like no other, its exciting and seeing the fans at the games is just absolutely electric. It would be even better though if my Leafs were there.
3. The wildlife: Spring brings everything that is awesome! Fresh grass, new leaves on trees and birds. There is nothing better than waking up on a bright and sunny Sunday morning to the sound of birds singing.
2. Outdoor music: Whether its Sunday afternoon concerts at Heritage Park in Elmvale, or going down to the Barrie Jazz and Blues festival I love having a seat and taking in some great music in the great outdoors.
1. Baseball: OK! BLUE JAYS! LET'S PLAY BALL! Need I say more?
That is my personal Top-5. If anyone would like to post their Top-5 that would be great. Even if you don't have 5 just leave an idea or two.

You've got me thinking again Brad! My top 5 reasons to be excited for spring are:
5. No more snow! I am with you there. It is not that I dislike winter (we live in Canada after all) but enough is enough! It is just that I am tired of driving in snow storms or wondering if it is going to storm before we get to where we are going or before we get home.
4. Gardening season is approaching. I love when we are able to begin to till the gardens, plant out the annuals and trim up the perannuals. I can't wait to plant the fresh herbs, squash and tomato plants.
3. New life begins! The grass grows and turns green and the winter birds return. We are very lucky to live in an area that is conducive to birds and we have many varieties to listen to and watch.
2. The heat in the sun returns. There is nothing like the feeling of the warm spring sun shining on your face or going for a walk on a sunny afternoon.
1. And my number 1 reason to be excited for spring is...it is one step closer to summer my favorite season. I can't wait to get my book, my recliner, and my water bottle out to sit by the pool.
Yahoo for spring!
