The True North Strong and Free

I love Canada! It really is the best country in the world. Recently I was presented with an opportunity to meet with local Rotary Club members and have an interview. If this interview was successful I would get to go to Ottawa for five days and meet the Prime Minister (This was on my Bucket List!) and see some of the sights, while attending a conference with other youth around my age. Fortunately for me, a few days later I received a call from the Rotary Club informing me that I would be representing Elmvale District High School in Ottawa. The program is outlined here on this website: http://www.rotaryottawa.com/ This is a fantastic opportunity for me to take advantage of the Adventures in Citizenship program, and I will do my best to represent my hometown and my country well. What I want to know from everyone is, what makes you so proud of Canada? What does being a Canadian citizen mean to you? Leave a post, I would love to hear from you.

I am so proud to be Canadian. I love that Canadians are kind, considerate, nice and respected for these qualities around the world. I am also proud of you Brad for earning this trip to Ottawa. Please make the most of it and have lots of fun!
